Real estate costs and zoning are screwing the creative class in Vancouver. The “runway” for a self-funded startup in Vancouver is 3 times shorter because rent is 3 times higher.
$850 / month. Under 300 sq. ft. I don’t understand why council is behind these units - that is completely unaffordable. Common sense says get a larger place and split the rent.
